My Little Einstein

I'm so impressed with all Mason has already learned.

I know that all moms are proud of their kids and bragging is just part of mother territory, but Mason REALLY amazes me. He is unbelievably wise beyond his 2 little years. Even before he turned 2, I could see the little wheels in his head turning. By then he had already learned his colors and could count to 10. Oh....did I mention he already knows his ABCs? One of his absolute favorite things to do is play on the computer. It's so funny to see him move his tiny little finger across the touch pad, click the button and just like that he's got Cartoon Network or Playhouse Disney at his fingertips. Just the other day, he figured out how to highlight a sentence. Who knows, maybe he'll be the next Bill Gates....maybe he won't. But, no matter what he decides to do, I know he's got what it takes to be a shinning star.

Black-and-White

This week I Heart Faces goes into black-and-white mode. I knew exactly the picture I wanted to enter. It's one of my little guy waiting patiently at my sister's wedding. I know I may be a tidbit bias, but I think he's the cutest little guy ever!

Say Cheese

That's Chuck E. Cheese. We all went where kids can be kids and celebrated with my little nephew, Christian. He is now a whole THREE years old! I can't believe how fast time flies. The kids had a blast. This year Christian wanted a Lightning McQueen cake. So, a Lighting McQueen cake he got. All the hard work paid off when I saw the look on his face. It was priceless. Ki-Ki, as Mason calls him, was one happy little birthday boy.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY
CHRISTIAN!

Today is your birthday.
It's a special day indeed
For you are a blessing to us all
Especially my little Mason & Me

You've given us your all
And that's more than suffice
And so, when we count our blessings
We always count you twice.

Happy Birthday Sweetie
We love you forever

It's A Wonderful Life!

WONDER

{ to think or speculate curiously: to be filled with admiration, amazement, or awe; marvel }

I remember this trip to the beach like it was yesterday. Mason was naturally drawn to the ocean and it's amazement. He wasn't scared of the crashing waves and he wasn't interested at all in playing with the sand. All his curiosity revolved around the wonder of the water.

As I was searching for my wonderful shot of Mason, I came across another wonder filled pic of his Uncle Brian. History has always intrigued him. As we visited the USS North Carolina Battleship Memorial, I captured this picture of him seating in the captain's chair. I love this shot because wonder just fills it up.

The Eyes Have It

Here it is. My second entry for the I Heart Faces blog. This week's theme is "The Eyes Have It". And anyone who knows Mason can tell you that he can give you a look to kill. I don't know where he get's it from. I guess he is his own person. Believe it or not, they're not all mean looks he gives. Here's one that's a little sweet, a little playful, and a whole lot of mischievous. It makes me wonder, "What is he thinking?"

For the adults category I chose a picture from my little sister Scarlett's wedding. I love this picture. Ladies usually don't kiss and tell, but when it comes to giving the bride some honeymoon secrets, we don't hold back. Judging by her eyes, they must have been some good ones.

I Heart Faces has also tagged this week with a pets category. Our dog-gone good dog, Petey, is the greatest dog any family could ever ask for. His perfect little black eyes won our hearts over. It was love at first sight.
