And so it begins...
I've noticed the start of something new in my life. My little guy has started helping himself to the kitchen. In a way it's sort of bitter sweet. I LOVE that he's helping himself BUT there will be a day when I'll go reach for that ONE little snack that I tried to hide beneath a pile of equally worthy yummies, just to find an empty box. A little box flirting with me, saying come and get me, you know you want me. And as I take the bait, it gets me instead. Oh the tease of an empty cookie box.
My sister tells me it happens to her all the time. Who am I kidding... "There WILL be a day"? PA~lease, girl. The day has come.
I have to admit, it's pretty cute hearing the pitter patter of little feet and a chair scooting to it's final destination - THE KITCHEN CUPBOARD or THE FRIDGE. It all depends on the snack attack.
This is the start of him going out to dinner on his own, with his own money (nahhh, most likely still mine), with his own friends, WITH A GIRL!!!! I may be getting ahead of myself. After all, he IS just going in the kitchen, right???? I can't even think of girlfriends right now....

Oh girl...I find my little mine scaling he panty shelves to reach the good snacks on the top shelf. I am forever telling him the light in the kitchen is off that means kitchen is closed. LOL
aw!! I don't think you will have to worry about girls right now! haha But you might want to get your game face on! Just to practice.
Andrew opens the refrigerator and plays with the light constantly. At least he isn't big enough to make his own milk/juice cup. He's a monkey so he tries to climb in the pantry too.
I haven't even thought about girls but kindergarten is in the back of my mind....turns my stomach just thinking about it.
Miti,
This is so cute and treasure this time without thinking so far ahead. You'll miss this time as it goes faster and faster the older they get.
Wanted to wish you a great weekend!
Love and Hugs ~ Kat
He is gonna be a heartbreaker...his eyes are amazing.
He doesn't necessarily have to find your treats. Do you have a safe in your house? A drawer somewhere that locks?
So cute. When you get on my side of parenthood you'll realize just how fast those years are really flying!! My oldest leaves for college in less than 2 weeks.
My kids used to walk away with the costco sized cereal boxes... usually fruit loops (which is my "ice cream") My little boy especially was funny carrying the giant fruit loop box down the hall... I'd find him hiding somewhere with his cheeks full and his hand in the box... they grow up so fast!
Ordered your surprise today! Should be made for you and shipped by end of week....keep me in the loop!~
