Balloon Serenade

When Mason was a little baby he just couldn't get enough of Elmo. There were Elmo(s) everywhere I turned, little stuffed ones, BIG stuffed ones, ticklish ones, dancing ones and the list went on and on all the way into his first birthday. This enormous balloon was always a big hit on our trips to the grocery store and so when his birthday finally came around, it came along with us. It was HUGE! But the neatest thing about it was that with every little tug it would sing Happy Birthday. Mason loved it so much that he would grab it and squeeze, squeeze, squeeze until he couldn't squeeze any more. It's too bad life can't remain as simple as finding happiness in a BIG balloon serenade.

I agree with you that life should be about the simplest things that bring about a child's smile or a laugh.

Love that he was so thrilled with the balloon!

I'm thinking we may just buy a bunch of mylar balloons for Andrew's Christmas. He could play all day and night with the things.

I love the tiny reflection of him that you can see in the balloon right there at his cheek. Great shot, Miti!
