Once Upon a Medieval Time

Once upon a time, just last week,
there stood a Medieval Times Castle in a faraway land,
aka Myrtle Beach
.

Crowds of noblemen gathered
in hopes they'd get the royal treatment.

They'd heard of the castle's entertaining enrichment.

So with a blare of the trumpets and a greet from above,

the King enters with the love of his son.

Then it's off to the arena to begin the festivity,
but fear struck with word of the Prince's captivity.

Cries were heard from a little boy blue,

but soon they were gone with a falcon who flew.

With smiles on faces,

It was time for the races.

And as the knights jolted with swords in tow,

cheers were heard for the good and the foe.

video

As the story was told and it was unfolded,
The Green Knight was continuously scolded.

Meanwhile Noblemen were fed a feast for their eyes,
all at the expense of a dragon's demise.

With an ummmm ummmm here
and an ummmmm ummmm there,
The Noblemen could not get enough of the delicious
bill of fare.

And so, to make a loooong story short
Shall I get to the point?
The ending was happy
for all the King's court
.

Oh, how fun!!!!! Great poetry, Miti. I was impressed!!!

We went to the Medievil times here in Texas back in 2007! The kids LOVED IT!!! Riley was even selected as the Queen of Love & Beauty by our knight and she was given a sash. She thought all her dreams had come true! You can see those pics here.

Great post and glad you guys had a blast!!! Looks like Mason did, too!
