A Word from a Butting Toddler

I don't know what has gotten into my little guy lately, but all I hear come out of his mouth these days is the word "BUTT". I have no clue where he got that from. I always refer to it as a "BOTTOM". His word of choice could've been A LOT worse. I guess I do prefer this four-letter word over the three-letter word. That's definitely a plus! Gotta look at the bright side, right?! Apparently it's a fun word to just blurt out at random. He'll say, "Mommy, I want a snack (BUTT)." Or "Mommy, play cars with me (BUTT)." A little butt here and a little butt there, everywhere nothing but a butt butt. Then he's giggling like nothing could be funnier. I just don't get it. I guess that's just the mind of a toddler.

Yeah it does sound funny but def. not something you want him to habitually say. Hopefully (as they say), it's just a phase.

That is too funny!

For some reason Will heard that word somewhere and said it the other day too. We have no idea where it came from, probably sister. He normally says bottom, and thankfully it only happened once.

Love and Prayers,

Tim

hehehe! Kyle said that word at an early age, too! I think he got it from an older cousin, but who knows!

When Natey wantrs a giggle he says Poopie. Boys just like toilet humor from a young age I guess!

Yep! Boys do seem to like toilet humor. It definitely could be worse that is for sure! :)

Ha! It must be the magical age of three! My daugher, just yesterday wanted to eat her sandwich butt. I was like okkkkk. And play with her Tigger butt. Everything had butt in it!

So if you are wondering, I am a visitor from Becky's "My Crazy Beautiful Life" who was visited by, He & Me + 3, so then I found the 5 girls blog, THEN I found you. Phew...

Ahhh, yes! I know lots of people have a problem with the word "Butt", but that's just what we call it. I don't see it as a bad word?! To me, its a butt, a hiney, a behind, and they all mean the same and none are vulgar.

Funny that he finds it so funny though. =0)

Gotta love 'em!

Boys love talking about body parts and functions. Doesn't get much better as they get older. LOL
BTW. Rick needs a size 7 1/2 or bigger in the fitted hats. Call me when you go to buy it so I can talk you through it and you can let me know how much I owe you.

LOL! and it doesn't get easier... My six year old was standing on his race car that I bought for him a few years that cost me a whopping $70.00 and I told him to get off of it before he broke it and he goes "BUT it's my toy!" KIDS!!!!! ALWAYS GOT TO ARGUE with you!

Too funny. When my youngest was little. Probably about 1st grade or so she called me a butthead for some reason. I can't remember. As a punishment her daddy made her take a pair of her panties (clean) and put them on her head and wear them around the house for about 5-10 minutes. I don't think the child has ever called me that again. She still talks about having to do that and she's almost 15 now. In fact she brought it up at the lunch table today. She still can't believe we made her do that. I told her it worked, didn't it. We thought it definitely fit the crime. lol

I think we FIVE MOMS have some mental telepathy going on. I did my post today and Nan already has something similar in the words on her personal blog.

You did the "homemade frappacino" blog and I was also planning to do one and had already even taken the picture for it!

I tell ya, we must be spending too much time together. WE're starting to think alike. ha ha ha

Hope you're having a great Monday, Miti!
