Natural Imperfections

Now that the warm weather is here, I've been taking full advantage of it and unfortunately, Scenic Sundays have taken a back seat (defeating the whole purpose of it). The purpose of Scenic Sundays was so that we would all take time out of our busy lives and stop and smell the roses. And while we're at it, show our appreciation by taking a picture of the beauty that God has placed before us. Well, looks like I let life get in the way. But, so be it! God wants us to enjoy life with our families and that's what I've been trying to do. But now that summer's here, it's the perfect time to jump back on the Scenic Sunday wagon.

In continuation of my Scenic Sundays, I've decided to share with y'all a photo of my favorite flower- the hydrangea. I first fell in love with them when we lived in our former home. Their blossoms were so big and bountiful that I became intrigued. Even with their imperfections, I would prefer them over the most perfect rose, reminding me of my love for my family. Although, they have their imperfections, I would not trade them for the world.

PiecesofMe

Sometimes we are so busy with everyday life that we forget to appreciate the beauty that God has placed before us. Scenic Sundays are about stopping and smelling the roses. And while you're smelling those roses, take a picture so that others can share in your appreciation for the beauty of His creation. So pretty please come join us for Scenic Sundays. Maybe we'll see things in a different light.

Please feel free to join me any day.

These are gorgeous. I love hydrangeas. Actually, I love most flowers. My hubby is not a fan because he prefers more manicured plants...holly bushes, azaleas...that sort of thing. But a few years ago, for mother's day, he got me a hydrangea bush and planted it where I could see it off my deck and out my window. It still hasn't reached the point where it is covered in blooms but I think this might be the year. It is really filling in nicely anyway...if that is an indicator.

I have a great great grandchild hydrangea bush that came from my G'pa Troy's bush several years ago. This is the second one I've had and this is the first year it has bloomed. I was so so thrilled. I have the two flowers decorating my table and snapped several pictures of them to share next week.

Beautiful photo of beautiful flowers. There is so much beauty that God has provided that it is easy to pass through this life and miss much of it. Thank you for the reminder to stop and smell the roses.
Blessings,
Charlotte

It's funny because on the dashboard it looked like some big blue "jewel" like thing, lol!

I love hydrangeas. I especially love the lacecap hydrangea. That's my favorite!

I've never heard of scenic Sundays, so I'm glad you linked in to Spiritual Sundays. I love hydrangeas, and it's easy to think of God whenever I see the beauty of the earth.

I love hydrangeas too. I think what fascinates me the most about them is that they can change colors based on the acidity of the soil! They are so pretty!

Hey Miti, the more I think about that road trip, the more fun it sounds! I bet most of these bloggers would put me up over night and take good care of me! It wouldn't cost tooooo much, huh? Just gas money!!! It would be such an adventure, and our faces would be popping up on blogs all over the place everytime we'd leave a place. Can you imagine it? Let's go!!!
