May I Have This Dollar Dance

Last week, my husband and I celebrated our 8th Anniversary. I honestly don't know how I got so lucky. He is the Prince Charming every little girl dreams of marrying.

As some of you may already know, I am originally from Costa Rica and it's tradition in the Latin culture to do a little number called The Dollar Dance on your wedding day. All the guest must pay the price of $1 (or more) to have their dance with the newlywed couple. A lovely idea, if I must say!! So, one by one, family and friends pinned the little heads of the presidents and we danced the song away. When the music ended, we were drenched with the generosity of our lovely guests.

That's O.K. What's mine is his and what's his is still mine.
(hehehehehehe)

Look how beautiful you both are! I looove your dress!!!!

Gee, wouldn't it be nice if you could do it again eight years later after you've had a kid and your towels are starting to wear out?

I could do with another wedding shower right now to replace a few things around here, lol!

Happy Anniversary!

My cousin's did this at their weddings. Its not really a tradition, but just a way for the family to help the bride and groom out for their honeymoon. All the little kids love to pay a dollar to dance with the bride or the groom.

Your wedding pictures are exquisite! Such a beautiful bride you were! I love looking at wedding pictures, it helps me get ideas for a future wedding if I ever get married! But trust me I have enough ideas to plan a bazillion weddings!

Happy 8 years! Anniversary are so wonderful!

You look so beautiful...and happy! So Happy Anniversary! I have been to other weddings where they have done this or a variation on this. So fun... I don't believe it is luck, either. That's what happens when you marry the fellow God picked out for you! Amen??
