Secret Sneaky Friend

The secret's finally out!
Today I'm being featured at Sneaky Momma. A few months ago my friend Jill, aka Sneaky Momma, got this great idea to showcase one blogger each week. In order to be one of her Secret Sneaky Friends you must answer a collection of questions put together by other bloggers. Here are just a few of the questions I decided to answer, but hey I'm not gonna spill the beans here. You'll just have to visit the Sneaky Momma to get the scoop.

  • You can only wear one accessory for the rest of your life...which do you choose? Submitted by Whitney

  • If you were stranded on an island with your Mother in law what would you do? Submitted by Robyn

Ok, so aren't you just a little bit curious???

Alright.....well if you won't do it for me, will you do it for Sneaky Momma.
Please go visit her sneaky blog. You'll be glad you did!

Hope to see ya there!

A{Mason} Little Monkey

Time for some Halloween dress up at I Heart Faces.

God blessed my little guy with the chubbiest little cheeks, perfect for filling out this cute little monkey costume. I couldn't wait to take my little monkey trick or treating for the first time even though he couldn't eat any of the treats. I think I just looked forward to showing him off. Fast forward three years later and yup, his chubby cheeks are still hanging strong and he's still a little monkey.

Momma Saw the Doctor and the Doctor Said...

I went to see my "family" doctor the other day just to get a check up. He pulled out his stethoscope and began to listen to my beating heart.

"Thum Thum....Thum Thum....Thum Thum,"
the doctor said quietly with deep concentration.
"So how's it sound, Doc? Am I good?" I asked.

"Nope," he replied.
"You're sick and sour."

Raggedy Ann and Candy

Wednesday's Walk Down Memory Lane

Come for a walk with me down Memory Lane!
And if you have a "Memory Lane" post, head on over to Scottsville to join in on the fun!

**********************************
Today, I'm reminiscing about one of my earliest memories of
TRICK OR TREATING.
I didn't grow up in the normal household were all the kids got dressed up in their fun costumes each year. My parents frowned upon it and they'd always say "There's nothing to celebrate." The funny thing is that even though "there wasn't anything to celebrate," we always seemed to have our light turned on and candy to hand out. I guess in a way, giving away the precious candy was a good thing and it worked in our favor, because there were a few times when we managed to butter them up into letting us go trick or treating. And when we did, finding a costume was literally a last minute thing. So when the happy kids would show up to our door with their pumpkin baskets overflowing with all that goodness, my parents just could not deny us our happiness any longer. But, like I said, it didn't always work. So the few times it did, the memories are very fond in my mind.

My very first time going trick or treating, I went as Raggedy Ann. I guess looking back my sisters got the short end of the witches' stick. One sister was an Indian, another a Costa Rican traditional dancer, and the other a Costa Rican peasant girl. Raggedy Ann was looking pretty good to me. I was one happy little rag doll.

Once Upon a Medieval Time

Once upon a time, just last week,
there stood a Medieval Times Castle in a faraway land,
aka Myrtle Beach
.

Crowds of noblemen gathered
in hopes they'd get the royal treatment.

They'd heard of the castle's entertaining enrichment.

So with a blare of the trumpets and a greet from above,

the King enters with the love of his son.

Then it's off to the arena to begin the festivity,
but fear struck with word of the Prince's captivity.

Cries were heard from a little boy blue,

but soon they were gone with a falcon who flew.

With smiles on faces,

It was time for the races.

And as the knights jolted with swords in tow,

cheers were heard for the good and the foe.

As the story was told and it was unfolded,
The Green Knight was continuously scolded.

Meanwhile Noblemen were fed a feast for their eyes,
all at the expense of a dragon's demise.

With an ummmm ummmm here
and an ummmmm ummmm there,
The Noblemen could not get enough of the delicious
bill of fare.

And so, to make a loooong story short
Shall I get to the point?
The ending was happy
for all the King's court
.

LeAnn Whines

Mason woke up this morning and immediately turned on the T.V. and out of all the things there is to watch, he decides that he wants to watch music videos. Sounds good to me! So there I was, making his breakfast, thinking "Oooo I like this song!" Then suddenly I hear him say,

"Mommy I can't watch this."

"Watch what?"
I asked.

And with a wrinkled little face full of disgust, he turns and says,
"I can't watch this 'GIRL' music!"

Yes it's true. He may LOVE music, but LeAnn Rimes... not so much.

I guess she's just not tough enough. Man, do they start young. Can you believe it?!! Just 3yrs old and already picking sides. His daddy will be proud.

One things for sure...
Boys will be Boys

Excitement's in the Air!

Our time at Myrtle Beach was filled with lots of excitement. As soon as we were able to get settled into our little home away from home, we went for an afternoon stroll along the beach. Mason was so EXCITED, his little face just lit up with joy! Along the way, we discovered a little abandoned sand castle sitting all by it's lonesome. Mason couldn't wait to build his very own.
